3 Months or More Before Your Trip
Planning a trip to the magical world of Disney can be overwhelming, but with the right checklist, you can stay on track and make the most of your adventure! Start by reaching out to Trisha Travels so we can help! We'll want to book your accommodations at least three months in advance to guarantee your stay at your desired location.
Next up is purchasing park tickets ahead of time so you avoid those long lines at the gate. We'll order magic bands, research transportation to the parks (and / or the airport) and book your plane tickets.
You’ll also want to start researching which parks to visit and the attractions that are must-sees for your family. This is a great time to get everyone involved in the planning process, especially Trisha!
1 Month Before Your Trip
Now that you’re just about a month away from the trip, it's all about finalizing the details on your checklist. One of the crucial tasks is making dining reservations. Popular dining spots can book up quickly, especially character dining experiences. Be sure to make your reservations at least 30-days (but preferably 60 days) before your trip! Again, Trisha can help.
Another essential item is gathering your travel essentials. Create a packing list that includes everything you might need – from comfortable shoes for long park days to sunscreen for those sunny Florida afternoons. Don’t forget your camera or smartphone for capturing those magical moments!
Get a feel for what weather has been like - and plan to pack or purchase anything essential for the time of year (will you need a fleece and jeans? or perhaps an extra bathing suit).
The Week of Your Trip
With just a week to go, double-check your checklist to make sure you’re ready for the magic. We'll confirm travel details, such as flight times and accommodation check-in procedures. If you’re driving, make sure your vehicle is trip-ready. Fill up your gas tank and pack some snacks for the ride!
It’s also smart to download the My Disney Experience app if you haven't done so already. This app will help you manage everything from your park tickets to dining reservations and wait times for rides. With the app in hand, you’ll be able to navigate the parks with ease. You will also be able to purchase Lightening Lanes in the app (7 days prior to arrival is staying on site, 3 days prior if off site)
Lastly, take a moment to remind everyone about the itinerary and any must-see attractions you identified during your planning. Excitement is in the air, and keeping the energy high will ensure that everyone is ready for an epic Disney experience!
Also, start checking the weather forecast for Orlando during your travel dates. This will help you know what to pack. Nobody wants to be caught in a rainstorm without a poncho!
By following this checklist, you’re ensuring that your next Disney vacation will be smooth and full of fun! Happy travels!
